1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Parlecho app and the website parlecho.com, provided by Parlecho (“we”). By using Parlecho you accept them. Apple’s standard end user license agreement for apps also applies. If you do not agree, please do not use Parlecho.

2. Your account

You can use Parlecho without signing up: the app creates an account for you automatically. Signing in with Apple is optional and lets you keep your progress across devices. You are responsible for your device and your Apple ID. If you are younger than the age at which you can enter a contract where you live, use Parlecho together with a parent or guardian, who is responsible for purchases made with their Apple ID.

3. Free and paid parts

Parlecho has a free part: the first unit of each language and a free daily allowance of lessons. Parlecho Pro unlocks the rest. You can buy Parlecho Pro as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a lifetime purchase. The price appears in the App Store, in your local currency, before you confirm. We do not set prices on this website.

4. Subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID settings on your iPhone (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Parlecho account does not cancel a subscription.
• When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
• If a price changes, Apple tells you and asks for your agreement where the law requires it.

5. Lifetime purchase

The lifetime purchase is paid once. It unlocks everything in Parlecho Pro, including the courses and languages we add later, with no further payment. It belongs to your Apple ID and can be restored on your devices. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer Parlecho.

6. No free period

Parlecho does not offer a free period before you are charged. You are charged when you confirm a purchase.

7. Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or use a new device, choose Restore Purchases in the app. It uses the Apple ID you bought with.

8. Your recordings and your notes

Your voice recordings stay on your device and are not uploaded, so we do not receive them. If you send us a note with a problem report, you allow us to use it to fix and improve Parlecho.

9. Our content and acceptable use

The lessons, audio, text, design and software of Parlecho are ours or used with permission, and the law protects them. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy, extract, scrape or redistribute them, sell access to them, reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it, attack or overload our servers, or try to unlock paid features without paying.

10. Learning results

Parlecho is a learning tool. We do not promise that you will reach a certain level or pass an exam. Feedback on your speaking is automatic and approximate.

11. Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features and lessons. Online features may be suspended temporarily for maintenance or security. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

12. Liability

Parlecho is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the place where you live.

13. Ending

You can stop using Parlecho at any time and delete your account in the app. The sections that by their nature should continue to apply do so after that.

14. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page and, for changes that matter, tell you in the app. Using Parlecho after a change means you accept it.
